Posted by Kolleen | Filed under Articles, Creative, Design, Shopping
The latest trend in parties is to ditch the cakes and cupcakes and have cookies instead. Making cookies with cookie cutters is a fun way to treat guests to more than a simple piece of cake or one cupcake that doesn’t really fill them up. Plus, with cookies a host could get very creative and cut out lots of different shapes, sizes and characters for themed parties.
There are hundreds of different cookie cutters in many different shapes, sizes and characters or themes for different holidays and events for people to use to cut out sugar cookie dough and bake. Then they could decorate them with just about anything. There are also sugar cookie recipes that are made for any kind of diet including the heart healthy diet recommended for those with high blood pressure or heart problems. This recipe uses a sugar substitute and other ingredients to help make the cookies heart friendly. There are literally tons of different cookie dough recipes on the Internet that would lend themselves to using a cookie cutter, even some chocolate chip cookie dough recipes. One would just need to be careful cutting around the chips.
Cookies make great after dinner snacks at a book club meeting, informal family gathering such as a poker card game night or other family fun game night; cookies also make great desserts for an outdoor barbeque when the temperature is still hot and icing on a cake or cupcake would melt while a cookie will retain its shape and flavor.
Mini cookie cutters would make hundreds of tiny cookies. They go with after dinner drinks, and are perfect for coffee dunkers to add sprinkles, powdered sugar or dip in chocolate for an extra special touch.
Cookie cutters are great for entertaining children who want to help out in the kitchen as well as adults who insist on doing their fair share for the dinner party and always arrive early. Put them each to work with some cookie dough and cookie cutters and they will be content and out of the host’s way so she is free to finish her main meal, appetizers, and other preparations.
Custom Frame Store in South Tampa Creates Lasting Memories for Home Décor

A Tampa frame gallery could help a homeowner with their wall art décor and at the same time help them to preserve some of their favorite memories. There is a growing trend in the art world and home decorating business to take an older photograph and turn it into a black and white work of art. Sometimes the framers will leave one item in the photograph colorful and turn the rest into black and white art. For example a colorful photograph of a young child sitting in a pumpkin patch could be drained of all its color except for one small orange pumpkin directly in front of the child for contrast purposes. This also makes the photo more artistically pleasing then a total black and white print.
Photographs that a homeowner took on vacation or of their family will have much more meaning when they are brought to a Tampa framed prints gallery for custom framing. This homeowner could then proudly display their new ‘work of art’ in their home as a complement to their décor or among other framed photographs for an entire wall of people or place important to the family.
A custom frame store in south Tampa could also frame three dimensional items as well as flat photos and prints. For instance, a newlywed couple may want to save their etched wine glasses from their wedding reception toast. These could be placed in a memory box along with the couple’s wedding invitation as the background and perhaps a few of the flowers to tie the box together as a 3D collage of wedding day memories.
Artwork created by someone in the family to be displayed in the home adds a special touch to any room and brings more ‘life’ to the walls and rooms of a house. Children’s drawings could be custom framed in bright colorful frames and matching or contrasting mats to help bring the drawing to life. And this type of framed child’s artwork would make a nice gift for grandma for mother’s day or her birthday.
Tampa Garage Organization Systems Work Well For Crafts or Home Offices

With many people out of a job due to the economy, some people are trying their hand at work-at-home jobs in which they perform their previous job as a freelancer or a consultant and make just as much or even more money as they did when they worked for a major company. One thing home offices need besides office equipment is some type of organizational system to help keep a single person office running smoothly.
Home offices utilize a spare bedroom, a space in the basement or even part of the kitchen table; however other people have such a small house that they only have room for a home office in a closet in which closet organizers in Tampa, Florida could build a unique organization system that fits a pullout desk, space for a computer, fax machine, small printer and perhaps a small copier and then have room for office supplies such as paper, pens, envelopes and anything else in the office worker would need all within the space of a walk-in closet or even a small wall closet.
Many people have converted their garage into an office space or a home workspace if they are into crafts and a Tampa garage organization system would work well for them to help keep everything in its place and easily accessible when needed. Crafts such as scrapbooking, woodworking, needle work and model making all require many varied parts; therefore an organizer space with lots of drawers would probably work best on a garage wall or under a counter surface.
Additionally, individuals and families waste money in their pantry and garage. This could be avoided by purchasing custom entertainment centers in Tampa which can be built to an exact measurement and designed to hold any type of items a family would need to organize so that they are able to find things quickly and easily. Plus, they would not be buying duplicates of the same item because they could not find something in an un-organized pantry or cabinet and then end up with two of the same item which is a waste of money.
Solar Powered Pedestrian Crossing Signs Help save Lives with LED Technology

Skyrocketing fuel costs and a genuine concern and growing awareness of our environment is leading the way to the use of more solar powered and solar panels placed on safety signs in order to harness the sun’s energy.
There has been a large increase in the use of solar powered arrowboards or directional signs and changeable message signs (CMS). Other signs that are using the sun’s energy through solar power panels are safety sign near schools, hospitals, highway construction entrances and other walkways in which people and cars share the road.
Changeable message signs are very popular along the highways to alert drivers of upcoming traffic jams, accidents and even non-automotive related incidents such as the ‘Amber Alerts’ for missing children.
On many of the solar powered arrowboards, directional signs, speed limit signs, railroad crossing signs and solar powered pedestrian crossing signs are three to five LED flashing lights which help to draw a driver’s attention to the sign so they may heed the warning and do what the sign is “saying”.
According to MADD – Mother’s Against Drunk Driver’s – the number one cause of car accidents used to be drunk drivers; today that figure has dropped to number two or three because things like cell phones and eating in the car while driving have taken over as the top two distractions that impair a driver’s ability to apply the brakes on time or swerve to avoid hitting another car.
With solar powered safety traffic signs, they amount of casualties from distracted driver accidents could be reduced because the solar powered safety signs contain the LED flashing lights. And don’t be worried if the majority of accidents happen during the late evening hours because the solar powered safety traffic signs will work on any street at any time, day or night, a rainy day or a sunny one. The solar powered safety signs work up to 12 continuous hours in the sun and then store enough energy to run through the evening hours.
Solar powered safety signs can save lives because distracted drivers are everywhere. Solar powered safety signs help to bring distracted driver’s attention back where it belongs, on the road.
